Prague 5 Courses Medieval Dinner and Live Performances (opens in a new tab)

3,234 3 h

Are you ready for an evening of fun and merriment? Then welcome to a fascinating journey to the past! Once you reach the historical tavern, which is located right in the middle of the Old Town, take a steep stairway which leads deep into the darkness of old gothic cellars and for this one night also deep into the past. Let yourself be immersed in sights, sounds and smells that feel centuries old. Get seated by an innkeeper and let the show begin! Watch the jugglers, beautiful belly dancers with swords and live snakes, listen to medieval music but be careful every now and then a sword fight flares up. So hold your jug of beer or goblet of wine and hope a musketeer does not challenge you to a duel. While you eat a rich, 5 course dinner enjoy the show that plays throughout the entire evening. There is plenty to look at, to listen to, but most importantly plenty to taste. And if you are lucky you get your destiny read from your palm by a real fortune teller.

Follow the steps of the travel guru - Rick Steves - and see Prague "through the back door".  Our company is honoured to cooperate with Rick Steves and his company since 2004. We have guided many of their European group tours. You can book the "Best of Prague tour" with us. We do this tour for Rick whenever he comes to Prague to upgrade his book. You can try it too! :-)  Rick is always very friendly and allowed us to use his name for our business. He never asked for any money. The only rule he expressed was that he is very uncompromising regarding the quality of the books delivered to Rick`s bookholders! This walking tour offers professional and friendly individual care + "a SURPRISE LOCAL TREAT". Every client gets something very local, that you would otherwise miss. We pay attention to the local details ... just as Rick likes. :-) Select the number of people in your group (1, 2, 3, etc.) in the “Select date and travelers” menu to ensure you book the correct number of tickets.

Prague Eat, Sip and Make Friends on Food Tour by Taste of Prague (opens in a new tab)

3,842 4 h

Small goups. Big flavours. Real stories. The original Prague food tour by Taste of Prague since 2011, recommended by the NYT. The idea is simple: take you to places you would not have found, order delicious, authentic dishes and drinks you would not have ordered. And tell you things you didn't know you should google. We run this on empathy. We know how precious your vacation time is, so we will not waste it on second-rate food or experience. We will treat your vacation and trip to Prague as if it were our own. So if you want to spend a few hours in the company of well-traveled locals who will serve you must-try foods and drinks and will not resort to tourist clichés because simply our conscience would not let us (and our Czech friends would eat us alive for it), we'll be happy to have you. (Please inform us of your allergies and dietary restrictions in due time. Thank you!)

About Prague

A fairy-tale old town on a human scale

Prague's old town survived the 20th century largely intact. The Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square with its astronomical clock and Prague Castle are the classic stops, and they are all within walking distance of each other.

Evenings in beer halls and cellars, day trips to Kutná Hora and Český Krumlov, and a river cruise at dusk are the usual add-ons. The city is small enough to see well in two or three days.

Best time
April to June and September to October. December has Christmas markets, but the city is cold and busy.
How long
Two to three days.
Getting around
Trams, metro and walking. Use ride-hailing rather than street taxis, which are known for overcharging.

Prague travel questions

Is Prague cheap?

It was; prices have risen but remain below Western Europe, especially for food and beer.

Do I need Czech koruna?

Yes. Czechia uses the koruna, not the euro. Use bank ATMs rather than exchange booths.

How do I get to Český Krumlov?

By bus or a tour, about three hours each way, so it makes a long day trip.
