Day 1

Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum & more

  1. 09:00

    Eiffel Tower

    2 h

Tickets are released in batches and the best time slots sell out well in advance, especially at sunset. Arrive on time – the entry slot is strict.

  2. 12:30

    Lunch

Walk a couple of streets away from the main sight – prices drop and quality rises.

  3. 14:00

↓ About 10 min by metro or taxi

    Louvre Museum

    3 h

A timed-entry reservation is required. The Pyramid entrance is the busiest; the Carrousel and Passage Richelieu entrances are usually quicker.

  4. 19:00

↓ About 10 min by metro or taxi

    Seine River Cruise

    1 h 30 min

Evening cruises are the most popular; boats at dusk give you both daylight and the Eiffel Tower's light show. Sit on the open upper deck on a warm day.

1-day Paris questions

Is 1 day enough for Paris?

Three full days covers the headline sights; five lets you add Versailles and a slower neighbourhood or two. This plan fits the main sights into 1 day at a comfortable pace, with a lunch break each day.

Can I change the order of the days?

Yes. Group days by neighbourhood if your hotel is far from a sight, and swap any day if opening hours (many museums close one day a week) or the weather requires it.

What should I book before I go?

Book Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum first – they use timed entry or sell out.
