Budapest Photoshoot from Citadella and Gellért Hill (opens in a new tab)

4 1 h

Mornings on Gellért Hill are calm and magic. Gellért Hill is my favourite place in Budapest and I believe it offers one of the best cityviews in Europe. This location is higher than both Buda Castle and the Fisherman’s Bastion, offering some of the most impressive panoramic views over the entire city from the newly accessible Citadella fortress. Freshly reopened: In addition, the top of the hill with the Citadella fortress was closed for renovation for several years and has only recently been reopened to the public. At sunrise, the atmosphere is especially peaceful, with far fewer tourists compared to the busy sunset hours, allowing for a more relaxed and intimate experience. It will be my pleasure to spend a beautiful sunrise with you in one of the most stunning locations in Budapest, and to capture your best moments and natural expressions in timeless photographs.

If you are looking for the absolute highlight of Budapest and want to experience a bit of urban nature as well and a spiritual side of the city, this is the tour for you. While part of it is man made indeed, the general atmosphere takes you back to the early days of Christianity, when the church was hiding from public. We continue on foot up to the Statue of Liberty and the Citadel, while pausing at one or the other lookout spot to enjoy breathtaking views of the city. The summit is the absolute highlight of Budapest and if you are already tired, we can take a coffee break. Our journey continues downwards to one of the lower terraces of the mountain, to a place of peace and quiet: the philosopher's garden.
