A hillside garden city planned by Gaudí for a wealthy patron, with a mosaic-covered terrace, a long serpentine bench, a hall of Doric columns and views over the whole city to the sea. It was never finished as housing and became a public park in 1926.

Know before you go

Only the monumental zone (the terrace, the bench and the columns) needs a ticket, and numbers are capped per half-hour. The rest of the park is free but a steep walk from the metro. Go early or late to avoid the crowds on the terrace.

What to book

A timed ticket for the monumental zone. A guided option helps explain Gaudí's use of nature and recycled ceramics.

What to check before you pay

  • Check the fitness level and minimum age.
  • Look at the weather-cancellation policy.
  • Confirm what equipment and safety gear is provided.
